I don't think it worked.

I tried but I think the process failed. I don't feel any different and I think I should but it is hard to yell I have so much going on. Lots of stress at work and not feeling well. Blah! Maybe, we will see. Maybe I did get it.

I am glad that the first week is over. Only 36 more weeks until school is out. The last few days were good.

I hate my computer!!!

Ugh!  This stupid piece of crap keeps freezing.  I even went so far as to buy an external hard drive and back up all my videos and pictures.  I need this thing to be working, now!

Life is going well.  Work has been crazyt his week and I am lucky because I don't have to go to work tomorrow until 3pm then have our Open House.  Yay!!

I think my boss is doubting my ability to got down to the 3 year olds level.  Because, I have high expectations for them.  I am teaching a 3/4 blend.

I love my co-workers, they are great!!!

10 years ago today

I was a college student at Portland State.
I was single.
I was 21.
I was working at SWCC - and my boss was telling everyone that we - a community center - would be attacked next.
I had no idea what was happening - why were we being attacked.

The only real memory I have of this day is my Grandpa Geck calling and making sure we were watching the news.  I was and I asked him if this was the end of the world.  I - much like everyone else in the U.S. - didn't know what it really meant for our country to be under attack.  My Grandpa had lived through Pearl Harbor - the last time our country was really attacked.  My Grandpa told me that everything would be fine, that this wasn't the end of the world.

Today, my Uncle Sam called to tell me that he remembered me calling him and asking him what would happen to the WTC's and he told me they would probably collapse.  Within 10 minutes of our conversation they began to fall.

In 10 years so much has happened - we have experienced great recession's and possibly a great depression - that has yet to be determined.  I have a child, I had a job I loved and lost it, I have h=gone through great emotional and psychological turmoil.  Things are starting to look up.

Good Second Day

Today was a good second day.  Filled out a lot of paperwork.  The thing that sucks is I won't get a first paycheck until October 1st.  Hopefully I will get a financial aide check from school before then.

My classroom is still a mess.  We tried to get stuff move out of it today but it is going to be into next week before it is cleaned out.  This is the most hurry up and wait job ever.

Great thing is that like 2 Friday's a month I will be able to substitute teach.  Which is nice because that is like a weeks worth of pay at my regular job.

Alright, I am off to bed.  Nighty, night.

First Day At Head Start

Today, was my first day working for the Neighborhood House' Head Start.  It was a good day - my classroom is complete and total chaos because it was not a classroom last year.  It is huge and I share it with another teacher in addition to sharing it with out family advocate.  Everyone is super nice.

I hope that I can make a difference in these children's lives.  I have a lot of children who do not speak English as well as children with Autism - some of my personal favorites (if it is okay to have favorites.)

This is a very long day...

I hate Sundays normally because that is the day my dad leaves to go back to Heppner.  I hate it because Maggie is usually off for the rest of the day after he leaves, she really misses him.

Today is especially bad because Maggie's nap was disrupted - AHHH!!  We only get one nap out of the day, literally she will not go back to sleep until bedtime.  I am officially putting a sign on the door to not disturb us between 11am - 2pm.  Because, she is bound to be asleep during those hours.

Right now we are struggling to get her back to sleep because she only had a 30 minute nap.  I refuse to live the rest of the day on 30 minutes of sleep for her.

Is it weird...

that you are basically reading my diary?  You are reading about all the important things in my life.  Hmmm...

Is it weird...

that you are basically reading my diary?  You are reading about all the important things in my life.  Hmmm...

Okay...

So looking at making a lot of changes.  I was looking at moving out of my parents house but if I can wait 1 more year and have a year at this job under my belt it will be a lot easier.  I can afford to buy a Condo, especially in this economy I can afford one in our area.  But, I need to have a steady income to do this.  Looking at mortgage payments $158 a month plus HOA fees of $400ish is still cheaper than renting.

So I calculated a due date based on conceiving in October and that would put my due date as July 5th, which is still a good due date.  I would be home for 6-8 weeks before school starts back up.  I really want another child but am rethinking when I will do this - I don't want to wait to long.

NEWS!!!

I took the job at Markham Elementary where I will be the Lead Teacher for The Neighborhood House Head Start Program.  What a great opportunity to show my stuff off to a variety of people!!  I can't wait.  I start on Tuesday.  Maggie - is starting daycare she will be in the Wobbler Room because she is a big kid now!  Boohoo, my baby is growing up.

Okay, so I think that September I am going to try to get pregnant.  Yay!!  At the same time, I am sad that Maggie won't get my undivided attention but I think that she will be a better human being for having a sibling.  Plus the timing couldn't be any better with the new job and everything.

We will see what happens, because anything could happen or change but it is an exciting thought.
