Interview, Road Trip and more...

I had a job interview on Friday that lasted 2 hours and 15 minutes - it is for an infant classroom teacher position.  I know the interview went well because I was asked back for a working interview on Tuesday - but I am not sure I am made for this kind of job.  I went back to work when Maggie was a week old so I have really not spent 8+ hours a day caring for an infant in a long time.  We will see how the working interview goes on Tuesday.

This weekend I took a road trip to Sun River, Oregon - went with a couple of girlfriends and had a blast!!  We just went for one night because we all have kids and responsibilities - but it was really nice to eat our own dinner, take our own showers, sleep through the night, sit in the sauna and hot tub.  All things that we regularly do not get to do.

I am feeling sad for Maggie, this week her schedule is being cut down to two days of school a week.   I just cannot afford to send her full time right now.  I am not working, thought I am looking.  We also lost her full time daycare slot which makes me sick.  When I find full time work I only have daycare for 3 days Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at this point.

I am seriously thinking about starting my Jill of All Trades Business - I can scoop poop, I can mow lawns, I can do a lot of things.  I am still applying for every job I can find.

Sam the Dog

Sam, is going into intensive training to stop barking.  Ugh!  It is like telling Maggie not to talk.  It is not right.  But one of our neigbors threatened to kill Sam this past weekend.  Today I spoke with a police officer about it and he said that your dog is not allowed to bark at all, not even inside your house.  If someone outside of your house can hear it then it is a nusance.  That is not how I read the law?

Permit any animal unreasonably to cause annoyance, alarm or noise disturbance to any person or neighborhood by barking, whining, screeching, howling, braying or other like sounds which may be heard beyond the boundary of the owner's or keeper's property under conditions wherein the animal sounds are shown to have oc-curred either as an episode of continuous noise last-ing for a minimum period of ten minutes or repeated episodes of intermittent noise lasting for a minimum period of thirty minutes. It shall be an affirmative defense under this subsection that the animal was in-tentionally provoked by a party other than the owner to make such noise. Provided, 13.305(B)(5) shall not be applicable to any lawful livestock owner or keeper; kennel or similar facility, wherein the pres-ence of livestock or the operation of a kennel or similar facility is authorized under the applicable land use and zoning laws and regulations;

So - anyway intensive training.  to not bark - we are also borrowing bark collars from Angie to help us in the training process.

Well, we will see what happens.

My Visit to the Psychic

I love my psychic!! 

Before I went I researched myself on the internet to see what they would be able to find if that was how they worked.  Who knows - I was kind of skeptical.  Nothing that she said or knew would you find on the internet. 

She talked about how I am a strong woman and in my many past lives I have been a Male Warrior, as well as a very strong female.  She talked about how in one of my past lives she sees me as being on the plains with a passel of children and now husband - apparently I have been raising children by myself for many lifetimes.  (This wasn't a past life intuitive experience but my past lives were coming up so much that she hat to reference them.)

She talked about how in the past 2 years my life has gone through major change - emotional, psychological, physical people coming in and out of my life.  She saw me loosing someone very important and told me that this person had major issues.  She asked the persons name and I told her Heather - she said that Heather had major issues with men, and that she sought out my friendship because I have a counseling kind of personality.  Heather was not a good friend for me, she lied to me and betrayed me and no matter what even if she apologized we could never be as good of friends as we were.

She saw my creativity and how much I enjoy writing.  She sees me as a published writer in the future - which is interesting because I have a couple of children books floating in my head as well as my life story.

When she looked at the picture of Maggie - she said that Maggie is a very strong person.  That she is a very old soul, like me, and that she has lived many lives as strong men.  The said that Maggie is incredibly creative and artistic - to watch for the pictures Maggie will be drawing when she is 3-4 years old they will be awesome.  She thinks that Maggie will be very athletic and talented.  As well as very intelligent - she said that the sperm donor was no "farm boy" (sorry farm boys - I love ya) but a very intelligent human being.  That I should expect that Maggie will want to contact him and will start talking about contacting him when she is 10-12 years old.  She sees this person as being open to being contacted.

She said that in the next 2-3 years she sees me having the option of being in a "relationship" but that it is up to me - because I have that control.  She also sees me as having one more baby - a BOY!  when Maggie is 5-6 years old.

She told me about my parents - I don't really want to share that.  That is for them.

I am sure there is so much more I am forgetting to tell you guys - I have a CD recording it was super cool and amazing.

Who is a Single Mother by Choice?

200+ Jobs applied for...

Yep you read that right, I have applied for over 200 jobs.  Teaching jobs, office jobs, sales jobs, customer service jobs.

I am thinking that my best bet would be to start my own business so that I have the flexibility to take care of Maggie when she is sick.  Maybe, a Jill of All Trades kind of business; cleaning, grocery shopping, sick child care, errand running etc.  Either that or an evening job so that I can be with her during the day.  I don't know.

I wonder what my former boss would do if she was in my position...

Happy Easter!

Today was a good day. 

Maggie and I attended a friends baby shower, then headed to Woodburn to get new shoes for Maggie - I love the clearance section.  $40 for 3 pairs of shoes.

This evening we went to my friend Tamera's house and colored Easter Eggs with her daughter and grandson.  It was a lot of fun.  Kind of weird because there was a big moment that happened and to her family I was a complete stranger so it was a bit weird to share that with them  But they were really great about it.

Maggie kept trying to lick the vinegar/dye solution off of the eggs.  She loves vinegar.  She ended up with blue lips, fingers and tongue.

I am taking each moment as it comes.  I really want to go see a pyschic, a real one that someone I know has seen and believes in.   The reason for this is that I want to know that things will turn around for me eventually.

Maggie is doing awesome!!!  She is wearing 18 month clothing  she is a tall girl. She is the average height of a 2 year old and her weight falls in the 15 month category.  She is a healthy growing girl.  If we could just avoid these stupid colds, and bouts of vomiting, stomach flu and asthma attacks we would be in good shape.
